I work on the software an ice cream chain runs on. The Good Lood team is a small one, and we cover roughly eight systems between us.
The customer-facing ones are a loyalty and q-commerce app with over 500,000 registered users, the backend behind it that also serves point-of-sale and the Joy Station topping dispenser, and a point-of-sale system handling millions of transactions a year. The rest are internal: recipe management that feeds nutrition and allergen data to ERP, tray tracking that follows containers from production back to return, delivery with driver tracking, and the in-store screens showing live prices and what flavors are left.
A team that size across that many systems means nobody specializes. I work from mobile through backend to internal tooling, and most of it ends up touching something physical: a freezer, a delivery van, a tray coming back from a store.
I joined as an intern over the summer and moved into a full engineering role.
